The Blossom Time Run in Chagrin Falls: How to Participate and What to Expect

Each year in Chagrin Falls, the local community and visitors celebrate one of the most loved festivals of the year, the Blossom Time festival. During this festival, you’ll enjoy great food and drink, live music, and a raft of events. The highlight is the Blossom Time Run, a long-standing tradition that brings over 2000 runners and walkers together through a series of racing events.

Blossom Time

WHEN: Sunday, May 28, 2023

WHERE: Chagrin Falls Town Square, 83 North Main Street, Chagrin Falls

How to sign up for the Blossom Time Run

The Blossom Time Run offers online registration through RunSignUp. To register, click the “Sign Up” button, enter your personal information, and select your race distance. You can also register in person on May 27, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Chagrin Falls Township Hall.

There’s a 5K run/walk, a 2 mile run/walk, and a 1 mile fun run for kids. The early registration fee is $30 for both the 5.25 Mile Run/Walk and 1 Mile Run/Walk. Prices are subject to change after May 26, so it’s better to register early if you can.

If you’re just getting back into physical activity, we would recommend the 1 mile run/walk, as the 5.25 mile event can overstrain beginners. This is after all a day of fun and you’ll need some energy to enjoy all the other events.

Proceeds of the race will be donated by the Chagrin Valley Jaycees to various charities and local community projects.

How to pick up your packet

Before the day of the event, you’ll need to pick up your race packet. This will include your race bib, timing chip, and any other important information. This year, packet pickup will take place a day before the race on May 27, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Chagrin Falls Township Hall.

Race day: What to expect

Once you’ve prepared everything you need for the race, all that’s left to do is lace up and enjoy the run.  Here’s what the day looks like:

All participants will receive a finisher medal and a race T-shirt (while supplies last). The race features MyLaps chip timing, which ensures accurate results and includes a QR code on your bib for instant updates. Additionally, you can expect to find water stops at Miles 2, 3, and 4 to help you stay hydrated.

Post-race

After completing the race, you’ll have the chance to replenish with post-race refreshments and pick up your award at the Triangle by 10:30 a.m.

Gift certificates will be awarded to the Top 5 Men & Women, while award certificates will be given to the following categories:
